Around the area If you are into historical monuments you can go to Bandelier National Monument or Puye Cliff Dwellings and Communal House Ruins. Reachable from the city you can also visit Pecos National Historical Park.

It is noted in the history that the city was founded by Spanish conquistadores in 1610. From some unobvious reason, however, I always imagine that the city once passed by the fictitious hero in the comic, Lucky Luke. Well, it is just part of my random thought though .... |
