the best place to live in the USA
Nashua is a cozy place to live. Hey, it is not because we lived there for the better part of our stay in the US. The city got that label from the US community in 1999 or some time around that. The cleanliness, low prices, fresh air, beautiful foliage .....I think it does deserve it.
our.apartment
Our apartment was strategically located at the heart of business or shopping center in Nashua. The Pheasant Lane mall is 5 minutes away while Border Bookstore is within a couple of minute walk. We both are movie-goers and were surely delightful to learn that General Cinema was also located nearby.
getting.around.nashua

The business center of Nashua is not located in the down town area. Almost all the stores, mall and recreation centers are scattered along Daniel Webster Hwy (named after the local hero). In fact many high tech industries exist in the suburb areas possibly spun-off from the nearby I-95 industrial park which is considered the counter-part of Silicon Valley in East coast.
kancamagus.scenic.drive
I know, the name is tongue-twister. The locals just call it Kanc. It is the most scenic drive which spans about 34 miles in east-west channel though the White Mountain National Forest. During Fall, especially in the end of October, what you'd get is stunning beautiful colors of leaves along the highway. The Kanc highway follows the path of the Swift River, which is studded with large rocks that create an obstacle course for the water. Once time we just stopped by in one of the bend and walked down to the river to enjoy the sparkling fresh water. The river rises as mountain snows melt in the spring, but the flow decelerates in summertime. The first popular stop on the route is Covered Bridge Campground, where you can walk across the wooden Albany Covered Bridge, built over the Swift River in 1858 and restored in 1970.
