what is serabi? a delicious traditional pancake originally from Solo made from rice flour, brown sugar and a bit touch of pandan leave. The tastiest part is the sweet brownish ridge along the cake edge.
False serabis Not many people know that the genuine serabi only exists in Solo. Other similarly-named food such as "surabi" from West Java is in fact a totally different food whereby in Java it is known as apem.

simply.green* is just my innocent concept of looking at life. One can view it as complex as they can perceive it: competition, never-ending desire for more, richer, higher, ever-changing definition of success, dealing with difficult coworkers or neighbors .... and those are only part of it. What is a successful life? Is it when we can get degrees from top schools? Or when we can earn the highest salary? Or when we can have the most abundant relation and friendship? I do not know. My greatest satisfaction in life however is when I feel my presence makes my community better. Above all, I think life is beautiful when we can make it simple. 10 September 2006 Pheww...finally done! After long extended intermittent delays I managed to put Kay personal room together. The wall and floor pads are my favorite. Now her room is de facto the coziest one in the entire house! Dont be mistaken by the term the "entire house", what I mean is just it is the best among the other three rooms. Enjoy your room Kay .........! |
